Andy offers guitar and bass lessons in Exeter and Crediton, and online lessons for those based elsewhere. A bassist, guitarist, producer, and sometimes keyboard player, Andy’s musical career has included working with Squeeze, David Gray, Debbie Harry, Sandie Shaw, The Soft Boys and Robyn Hitchcock.

Drawing from wide-ranging experience, Andy teaches different approaches to using the guitar to accompany different singing and instrumental styles - as well as lead playing and how to improvise - including Americana, singer/songwriter, bluegrass flat-picking and wider traditional styles, and jazz. On the bass, simple accompaniment, a variety of rock styles, how to play walking bass lines for blues and jazz, and how to construct a memorable bass line for a song.
